Momentum Relay Index measures whether a move is being passed along from short timeframes to longer ones, the way a baton is passed in a relay race. Real trends usually start as a burst of short term momentum that is then picked up by progressively longer horizons. Noise, by contrast, flares up on the shortest scale and dies there. The indicator reads seven nested horizons at once and rewards moves that propagate in the right order and with conviction.

The result is a calm oscillator that sits near zero while the market is unorganized and rises sharply when an orderly relay is underway, giving you an early and selective view of developing trends. It works on stocks, ETFs, indices, futures, forex and crypto, on any timeframe.

🔹 Key Features

Relay Index

The main columns show the strength of the current relay. Bright columns mark a relay that is still building, softer columns mark one that is fading, and the dotted event levels show where a relay becomes significant.

Relay Depth

A shaded terrace behind the columns shows how many horizons are aligned with the shortest one at every bar. You can watch momentum climb step by step from the fastest horizon toward the slowest, often before the index itself becomes large.

Relay Marks

Small triangles on the rail above or below the wave mark the bar where a relay crosses its event level, and a larger diamond marks the moment a relay reaches every horizon. Marks sit outside the oscillator so they never cover the data.

Synchronous Shocks

When several horizons switch direction on the very same bar, an amber diamond appears on the outer rail. These shocks highlight sudden repricing events that start many timeframes at once instead of passing from one to the next.

Sequence Fractures

A violet square marks bars where the horizons disagree in an alternating pattern, a sign that the move is losing its structure and a relay is less likely to continue.

No Repainting

Every value, mark and signal is fixed once the bar closes.

Settings

Coherence Gate sets how consistent a horizon must be to count, Minimum Relay Layers sets how many horizons must align before the index responds, Relay Event Level sets the significance line, and Relay Smoothing controls the column smoothing. Depth, relay marks, shocks and fractures can each be switched off, and all colors can be changed.

Built In Signals

Bullish and Bearish Relay Active, Started, Extended and Completed, Relay Sequence Fractured, and Bullish and Bearish Synchronous Shock are available for alerts, scanners and strategies.
