Options Trade Plan — Trigger, Target & Trailing Stop

A complete options trade plan on the 30-minute chart: the direction worth trading, the entry trigger, a target, a trailing stop, and the exact contract to trade it with. And when the setup isn't clean, it tells you to wait.

What it shows

🎯 Swing target zones — price zones above and below the current price with unfinished business, drawn as shaded boxes and extended past the last bar. These become your profit target.

🧭 The direction worth trading — when zones sit on both sides, it takes the larger move, not the nearer one. If the smaller target is in the way, it stands aside until that zone fills completely.

⚡ The trigger — once a direction is live, the panel flips from WAITING to LONG OPEN or SHORT OPEN the moment the reversal fires, and a marker shows the bar it opened on.

🔔 Alerts — long trigger, short trigger and stopped out are registered signals, so you can be told instead of watching the chart.

🛡️ The trail — a stop that sets itself when the trade opens and ratchets in your favour. It never loosens, and only appears when there's a real trade behind it.

🎟️ The contract — ticker, expiration, strike and type, with premium, IV vs HV, open interest and volume.

Reading the panel

NO TARGET — nothing nearby. Nothing to do.

STANDING ASIDE — the smaller target is closer; the panel tells you the level to wait for.

WAITING FOR LONG / SHORT — direction set, targets listed, waiting on the reversal.

LONG OPEN / SHORT OPEN — live trade, with contract, target and trailing stop on screen.

How to use it

Built for the 30-minute chart. Short-horizon trades — typically a day to a few days, until the target is reached or the trail takes you out.

Liquidity is the requirement, not fundamentals. This trades structure, not companies. Index ETFs like SPY, QQQ and IWM are excellent candidates, as are heavily traded large caps. On thin names the spread eats the move before you do.

Respect the stand-aside. When it says wait, the smaller target sits between price and the move you actually want.

Check IV against HV. You want IV below HV — the option is cheap relative to how the underlying actually moves. When the day's volume exceeds open interest on the picked strike, new positions are being opened there today.

Let the trail do its job. Don't move the stop manually. It only moves in your favour, and it's what turns a good entry into a managed trade.

Confirm before you commit. Pair it with Momentum Reversal Signals, Reversal Radar or Bottom Reversal Finder on the turn. For structure around your target, GEX Wall + 0DTE Expected Move and Gamma Pin or Breakout Signal show where dealer positioning may help or fight the move.

Want more than one target? Multi-Target Options Trade Plan Pro extends this to a full ladder — up to four targets, each priced with the contract's projected value at that level.

Built for short-term options traders who want the direction, target, stop and contract decided and on the chart — and an honest "not yet" when there's no edge.
