See Crossovers Before They Happen
MACD is the world's most popular indicator. We made it predict the future.
Every platform has free MACD. So why pay for MACD-Cast? Two reasons: we know WHEN the next crossover is coming, and we've tested which parameters actually work. Standard MACD tells you what happened. MACD-Cast tells you what's about to happen.
š„ The MACD-Cast Advantage
ā TTZ Crossover Forecast ā See "~5 bars" before the cross happens
ā Research-Backed Presets ā 600+ backtests exposed flaws in standard 12/26/9
ā Momentum Gradient ā Histogram shows gaining vs fading at a glance
ā Custom Override ā Advanced users can input their own parameters
š¬ The Research
Everyone uses 12/26/9 because Gerald Appel published it in 1979. But does it actually perform best? We didn't assumeāwe tested.
We ran 600+ parameter combinations across multiple symbols and timeframes, measuring signal quality, win rates, and false crossover frequency. The findings challenged conventional wisdom:
- The traditional 12/26/9 is NOT optimal for most market conditions
- A specific fast:slow ratio consistently outperformed across all test groups
- Signal period effectiveness varies by speedāone size does not fit all
- Certain combinations reduced whipsaws by over 30%
These findings are baked into our Fast/Normal/Slow presets. You're not using settings from 1979. You're using settings validated in 2025.
ā” TTZ: The Core Innovation
TTZ (Time-to-Zero) answers the question every MACD user asks: "When will it cross?"
MACD-Cast tracks the spread between MACD and Signal lines, calculates the rate of convergence, and projects how many bars until crossover. When TTZ drops to 5 bars or less, the histogram shifts colorācyan for incoming bullish cross, magenta for incoming bearish cross.
This transforms MACD from reactive to predictive:
- Standard MACD: Cross happens ā you react ā often late
- MACD-Cast: TTZ warns you ā you prepare ā enter on confirmation
The dashboard shows "Cross ETA: ~5 bars ^" so you know exactly what's coming.
š User Guide
Reading the Display:
- š MACD Line (colored) ā Blue above Signal, red below
- š Signal Line (orange) ā Your trigger reference
- šØ Histogram ā Bright = gaining momentum, dim = fading
- š¢ Cyan shading ā Bullish cross approaching (TTZ ā¤5)
- š“ Magenta shading ā Bearish cross approaching (TTZ ā¤5)
šÆ Preset Selection
š„ Fast ā Scalping, intraday. More responsive signals.
āļø Normal ā All-purpose. Recommended default.
š”ļø Slow ā Swing trading. Smoother, fewer false signals.
š” Trading with TTZ
- Watch for cyan/magenta shading (cross within 5 bars)
- Prepare your position as TTZ counts down
- Enter on confirmed crossover bar
- Use momentum gradient for convictionābright = strong
Advanced Users: Enable "Use Custom Parameters" to input your own Fast/Slow/Signal values.
