Unlike a generic chatbot, Sidekick runs inside your TrendSpider account and works from trusted market data for supported asset classes rather than the open internet. It can see your open charts, drawings, indicators, and backtests, pull real-time prices, fundamentals, SEC filings and earnings transcripts, insider and government trades, options activity, analyst ratings, and news, and act on what it finds: designing and running scans, writing custom indicators, setting alerts across watchlists, and sanity-checking your technical analysis.

The first 25 messages you send to Sidekick every month are free. After that, you will optionally be able to subscribe to a separate Sidekick subscription within TrendSpider. Sidekick gives you access to frontier models from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), and Google (Gemini), so you can pick the model best suited to a given task. Claude is the default. Sidekick has real-time access to market data for supported asset classes. Data is updated in Sidekick as soon as it is updated in TrendSpider. There is no additional delay for Sidekick to process new information beyond the time it takes for the data to be reported. Please note: while most asset types, including stocks, indicies, cryptocurrencies and foreign exchange tickers are visible to the Sidekick AI, some other data sources maybe restricted from use in AI models for compliance reasons. We invested considerable resources into minimizing hallucination risk while developing Sidekick. We did this through a variety of means, including preventing it from accessing the public internet or searching the web. While we believe these efforts were effective, it is important to remember that, like people, all AIs can and do make mistakes, including Sidekick. Hallucinations are possible. It is important to never depend solely on an AI response to make decisions.

Sidekick can see your charts, annotate them, build and compare watchlists, scan the market, write custom JavaScript indicators, and set alerts, and it can chain those steps into a single multi-step workflow. Chart vision reads your open chart, including its indicators, drawings, and timeframe. Chart annotation draws levels, trendlines, and notes directly onto the chart. Watchlist management covers creating, editing, color-tagging, and comparing multiple watchlists to find common tickers. Sidekick can build scans that search for stocks with news, fundamentals, technicals, or any combination and returns the matches as a watchlist. Custom indicators can be described in plain English, and Sidekick generates the JavaScript and saves it to your library. Alerts can be price-level or derived-level, and applied to one symbol or across a full watchlist.

Yes. Sidekick can see whatever is on your open chart, including price action, indicators, drawings, levels, and the timeframe you are using, and analyze it in context. You can ask open-ended questions like "what is happening on this chart?" or targeted ones like "which direction does the setup favor, and where are the risk levels?" Sidekick answers using the actual chart data rather than generic examples.

Yes. Sidekick can build market scanners and configure alerts from plain-English prompts. For scans, describe what you are looking for (for example, "scan the NYSE Composite for stocks breaking out of an ascending triangle pattern") and Sidekick translates it into scan conditions, runs it, and iterates if the results need refinement. For alerts, say something like "notify me when SPY crosses below its 200-day SMA" and Sidekick configures a working alert in seconds.
