TrendSpider Software Update: Enhanced Strategy Tester, New Candle Patterns, Improved Lower Indicators
At TrendSpider, we are constantly working on adding new, useful features to our platform as well as updating and improving the ones we currently have. In this blog post, we take a look at a few functionality updates to the TrendSpider Strategy Tester, new candle patterns added, and improvements to lower indicators. Enjoy these new features and improvements!
Stop Loss and Take Profit Conditions Added
By popular request, users can now add Take Profit and Stop Loss conditions when testing in the Strategy Tester.
Choose between “When candle closes” or “Immediately at given level” to refine your exit conditions.
More Depth To Your Strategy Tester Results
We’ve expanded the Strategy Tester Results panel to include deeper insight into your strategy’s performance. Below “Performance Chart” you will see a new Gainers vs. Losers chart that is a visual representation of the positions taken. To the right, you will now see Tabular Data for metrics like:

- Net Profit
- Asset Performance
- Beta vs (Asset)
- Positons
- Wins
- Losses
- Average Win
- Average Loss
- Average Return
