Creating A Formula
All formulas consist of three key components; Metric IDs, mathematical expressions, and advanced functions. You can utilize any fundamental value found in the platform in your formula. An exhaustive list of all available fundamental metrics can be found here.
Formula: =(revenue + revenue[1] + revenue[2] + revenue[3])
1. Metric ID defines the fundamental data point within a formula. Below are some example metric IDs and a full list of IDs are available here.
- Dividends Per Share: ‘dividends_per_share’ or ‘dps’
- Earnings Per Share: ‘eps’ or ‘eps_basic’
- Market Cap: ‘market_cap’ or ‘mcap’
- Price To Earnings Ratio (Quarterly): ‘pe_ratio_quarterly’ or ‘pe_q’
- Price To Book Value: ‘price_to_book_value’ or ‘pb’
2. Mathematical Expressions allow you to utilize common operators like +, -, *, /, and () to construct your formula. For example:
