At TrendSpider, we are constantly working on adding new, useful features to our platform as well as updating and improving the ones we currently have. In this blog post, we take a look at the addition of the PolyLine drawing tool, updates to magnet mode, the new “Clustered Blue Doji” Spider Scan, and the Candle Range Indicator. Enjoy!
PolyLine Drawing Tool
At the bottom of your lefthand toolbar, we have added a new drawing tool called the “PolyLine”. For quick access to this tool use hotkey Alt + W. When using the PolyLine drawing tool click once to start the line segment and then again for each pivot point. To complete your annotation simply double-click. If at any time you would like to erase the progress of your line hit ESC.
Magnet Mode Toggle
Now you can draw figures with the Magnet Mode disabled. To unlock from magnet mode hold the Alt key to temporarily disable.
Clustered Blue Doji Spider Scan
This new #SpiderScan will look for 1 Blue Raindrop doji for each of 5 last raindrops for 15 raindrops, so at least 3 in last 15 candles, distributed 1 Blue Raindrop per each 5 candle sets. This scan can be useful in finding interesting consolidation periods before a trend break.
Candle Range Indicator Added
This indicator has 1 input parameter (Length) and 2 output series: Body and Wick. It gives you the average size of Body and Wick (High – Low) for Length candles. This indicator can be used to identify things like {Candle Range(2)} {Wick Greater Than Candle Range(20)} to find cases where the recent candles’ range is greater than the average candle range for the last 20 candles.
