From enhanced charting and symbol search UX to new institutional data feeds, this month’s updates give traders even more power and speed. Let’s dive into what’s new.

Sidekick AI Updates

Sidekick Officially Released

  • TrendSpider’s new AI-powered trading assistant, Sidekick, is now live across web and mobile platforms.
  • Sidekick is TrendSpider’s new financial LLM connected to all of the platforms’ vetted financial data.
  • You can use Sidekick to do deep dives into fundamentals, analyze SEC filings, decipher unusual options, analyze your charts, and so much more.

Sidekick Highlights & Enhancements

  • Claude 4 and GPT-5 have been added to Sidekick, enabling faster and smarter responses.

Quality of Life Updates

Improved Symbol Search UX

  • The new symbol search box makes switching symbols quicker and more intuitive.
  • Clicking the box now automatically clears the existing symbol, so you no longer need to delete and retype it manually.

Data Feeds Updates

New Corporate Transactions Feed (13F Filings)

trendspider 13f data
  • TrendSpider now displays corporate transaction data (buys and sells) from 13F SEC filings in the What’s Happening Now tab.
  • This data reflects institutional buying and selling activity and is updated every 30 minutes.
  • It is different from corporate ownership data. Ownership refers to which funds currently hold which assets, while this feed focuses specifically on recent buy and sell activity.
  • This new transaction data is also available directly within Sidekick.
